The View from Elsewhere: Investigating Infrastructural Inequities at the Intersection of Disability and AI-Enabled Interactive Technologies
摘要
Despite recent efforts to strengthen links between organizations serving forced migrants with those serving people with disabilities, challenges due to ongoing gaps due to the disconnect between immigration and accessibility services remain. These challenges are amplified in the presence of inequities in technological and information infrastructure that impact the lives of forced migrants with disabilities. We use an intersectional lens to share and reflect on the lived experiences of forced migrants with disabilities in Germany and how infrastructural inequities impacted their experiences and discuss implications for technological design and policy.
