This chapter delves into the diversity of criticism, presenting three complementary perspectives: logical, dialectical, and rhetorical. Each perspective offers unique criteria for evaluating arguments, with logical criticism focusing on the validity of reasons, dialectical criticism assessing the appropriateness of arguments within a discussion, and rhetorical criticism evaluating the effectiveness of arguments in achieving the arguer’s goals.
