Corpus Linguistics in the Monitoring and Evaluation Sector
摘要
Chapter 5 introduces the application of Corpus Linguistics (CL) in the Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) sector, focusing on its utility in analysing participant feedback. Through tools such as frequency analysis, keyword identification, collocations, and concordancing, CL offers a data-driven approach to assess large volumes of qualitative data, uncovering patterns and thematic insights. Examining language in context can reveal the perspectives and experiences of programme participants, allowing evaluators to identify both common themes and unique individual sentiments. Incorporating discourse-focused tools enhances M&E processes, providing a richer, participant-centred understanding of programme impact and informing more tailored, effective interventions.
