Living Labs (LL) have attracted attention as an approach to developing new products, services, and technologies through long-term co-creation with users and various stakeholders. It has been positioned as an approach that supports research, development, and innovation (RDI), aimed at the social implementation of technologies. However, the values of LL in the RDI process have not been deeply analyzed. Therefore, this study aims to clarify the values off LL in the RDI process. Specifically, based on an analysis of Japanese LL cases, we clarify how the LL approach contributes to the RDI process and present a holistic model that visualizes the structure of LL values in the RDI process.
