Developing a Smart System to Boost Faculty and Student Engagement in Entrepreneurial Universities

This study introduces the concept of a Smart Information System (SIS) de-signed to enhance the entrepreneurial capabilities of universities by actively engaging both faculty and students. SIS aims to improve the universities. Entrepreneurial standing through a systematic evaluation of current strengths and encourages participation in entrepreneurial activities. The system uses key engagement metrics, employing the ARIMA model to forecast trends and backpropagation to train a multilayer perceptron classifier for deeper in-sights. By 2028, the ARIMA model forecasts significant improvements in key performance indicators (KPIs) due to the integration of SIS, including a 55% increase in publications, a 2% rise in research projects, a 13% increase in innovation initiatives, a 57% boost in student job placements, and a 2% rise in promotions. These outcomes highlight the system’s positive impact on university performance and efficiency, aligning with the goals of economic diversification and service innovation in Oman. Furthermore, the findings suggest that SIS can play a pivotal role in fostering a stronger entrepreneurial culture among university leaders, faculty, and policymakers.
