Can You Swim? Contemplating Your Personality
摘要
This chapter asks readers to contemplate various aspects of intensive care and explore how practice is shaped by the individual perspectives and differences that one brings to the work. Twelve quotations are provided to prompt the reader to consider their own personality and where they fit within the broad stereotype of the intensivist. Emotional intelligence, the degree of introspection or extroversion exhibited, the level of assertiveness and confidence, and the presence of ‘imposter syndrome’ are all discussed.
