This chapter explores in depth the factors encountered by intensivists in the wake of being a focal provider of healthcare during the worldwide COVID-19 pandemic. During this period, a spotlight shone on the specialty, it’s resources, and the continuum of care that intensive care medicine provides. In the aftermath, how have clinicians been left, and what things were learned that should be passed to future generations of intensive care doctors moving forward?
