Green Nanoparticles and Nanocomposites for Aerospace Applications

The aerospace industry is on the cusp of a sustainable revolution with the integration of green nanoparticles and nanocomposites for potential applications in sustainable spacecraft and aircraft design. This innovative approach combines the benefits of nanotechnology with environmentally friendly materials, enhancing electrical conductivity, mechanical properties, thermal stability, durability, and while minimizing ecological footprint. Green nanoparticles have especially shown a transformative potential in shaping a more sustainable and technologically advanced aerospace sector. This chapter highlights the requirements and key dimensions of the aerospace industry for excellent performance under deteriorating and adverse environmental conditions. The multidimensional characteristics of green synthesized nanomaterials for integration with traditional aerospace materials have been explored. The synergistic advancements and the associated challenges to attain sustainable and environment-friendly goals have been signified.
