With the development of aging society, concerns about health literacy of older adults are increasing. Intergenerational support from children is crucial for promoting the health literacy among the older adults. This study constructs a theoretical model of intergenerational support, self-efficacy and multi-dimensional health literacy. The questionnaire survey data of 325 older adults were collected and analyzed by using the partial least squares structural equation model. It is found that intergenerational information support positively influences the functional health literacy and interactive health literacy of the older adults. Intergenerational emotional support positively influences the functional health literacy, critical health literacy and translational health literacy of the older adults. The self-efficacy of the older adults positively influences their health literacy in all four dimensions. This study can provide theoretical reference for the research and practice of improving the multidimensional health literacy of the older adults.

摘要
