Virtual Reality-Based Exposure Therapy System for Cognitive Rehabilitation in Alzheimer’s Disease
摘要
AD (Alzheimer’s Disease) is a progressive neurodegenerative disorder impairing memory and cognition. Traditional treatments offer limited relief, prompting the need for innovative approaches. The VR system features supermarket and bus riding scenarios to enhance daily living skills, decision-making, and autonomy while reducing anxiety. Designed with user insights, it includes simplified interfaces, emotional support, and gradual task complexity. Training content aims to familiarize users with the VR environment, develop task skills, and boost decision-making. Evaluation will assess user engagement, task completion, anxiety reduction, and cognitive function. Future work will focus on clinical trials and system optimization.
