In the digital age, logistics services have transitioned to online platforms via applications. However, many older adults are not familiar with smartphone app operations. This study aims to enhance the current app design by addressing the specific needs of older users. Through semi-structured interviews and usability testing, we described the user behaviors of older adults and identified various usability problems. Based on our findings, we provided design suggestions to improve the app′s usability trough a simple user experience (UX) workshop. Our research highlights the actual challenges faced by older users when using logistics apps, derived from practical field studies of their daily tasks. Additionally, the design suggestions formulated from this study offer valuable insights applicable to the design of other apps intended for older adults.
