This paper presents the ComMob Web application. It is an evolution of ComMob, which could only be operated by being installed locally on a computer or tablet. ComMob Web is a communication aid for users with athetoid cerebral palsy. It enables them to communicate in mobile situations, using pictograms to formulate sentences. The sentences are then expressed using a voice synthesizer. An initial feasibility study of a mobile localization adaptation is also presented. The aim of this study is to show that it is possible to formulate sentences based on pictograms proposed in relation to the user’s location.

摘要

This paper presents the ComMob Web application. It is an evolution of ComMob, which could only be operated by being installed locally on a computer or tablet. ComMob Web is a communication aid for users with athetoid cerebral palsy. It enables them to communicate in mobile situations, using pictograms to formulate sentences. The sentences are then expressed using a voice synthesizer. An initial feasibility study of a mobile localization adaptation is also presented. The aim of this study is to show that it is possible to formulate sentences based on pictograms proposed in relation to the user’s location.
