Simulating Intracranial and Arterial Hypertension
摘要
In this chapter we bring together most of the material presented in previous chapters of this book, starting from cardiovascular fluid physiology, followed by mathematical models for the dynamics of bodily fluids and computational algorithms of high order of accuracy in space and time to solve the partial differential equations of blood flow. The end product is a global, closed-loop mathematical model for the entire human circulation, including the arterial system, the venous system, the heart, the microvaculature and the cerebrospinal fluid. We illustrate the practical applicability of all the previous theoretical content and the future potential of the overall subject of computational bodily fluid dynamics.
