Common Artifacts of Neonatal EEG Recordings
摘要
Artifacts can be mistaken for electrographic seizure activity because they may be rhythmic in nature. Some artifacts have typical patterns and can be identified rather confidently. However, causes of unusual artifact activity can sometimes be discerned through the use of video recording, witnessing the activity in person, or having the EEG technician or medical personnel document different movements at the bedside. Artifacts can occur from neonatal movements or external sources.
