Modeling Economic Situation as a Basis for Company’s Development Strategy (Regional Aspect)
摘要
Acceleration of information exchange and global changes in the economy is a pressing challenge for business entities. The external environment of the organization is complex, dynamic and non-obvious relationships, which lead to the need for prompt monitoring and regulation of conditions to avoid threats and implement additional opportunities for growth and development. The obvious responses of the real sector of the economy to the factors of uncertainty of the economic system include a reduction in domestic demand in regional markets, a slowdown in economic growth, and a postponement of plans for the implementation of investment and innovation projects until relative stability is achieved. The contribution investigates issues of modeling the economic situation in the regions as a source of information for strategic planning within a commercial company. The current model for assessing the economic potential of markets based on macroeconomic indicators available in open sources is considered. Specific features and disadvantages of the presented model are highlighted. As an improvement of the tool, the prospects of using recurrent neural networks are outlined, which make it possible to increase the accuracy of forecasting and improve the efficiency of data updates.
