Amputation of one or more fingers has functional, aesthetic, and psychological consequences and impacts the patient’s participation and quality of life. There are many surgical techniques available, depending on the initial trauma. Their goal is to ensure the function of the injured limb, manage the aesthetic aspect, and limit sensory after-effects. Rehabilitation and orthopedic devices are essential and complementary to surgical treatment to optimize a return to function and promote occupational activities. As they are indissociable from the surgery, collaboration between the medical and paramedical teams is essential.
