The chapter proposes several strategies to improve STEM education, including adopting innovative, learner-centered pedagogies and providing ongoing professional development for educators. It recommends policy interventions prioritizing investments in STEM infrastructure and creating curricula that respond to national and regional economic needs. Furthermore, the chapter underscores the necessity of fostering awareness and interest in STEM disciplines among students, recommending engaging and interactive teaching methodologies to ignite curiosity and creativity. It also highlights the importance of introducing more STEM-related programs within educational institutions and promoting extracurricular activities such as science clubs, which facilitate hands-on learning experiences. Ultimately, the chapter posits that STEM education should be regarded not merely as an educational reform but as a crucial mechanism for achieving social and economic empowerment in impoverished contexts.
