The resilience and compliance of Digital Business Ecosystems (DBEs) are critical key priorities, particularly as digitalisation expands and organisations face increasing regulatory scrutiny. The resilience of these ecosystems – their ability to adapt, recover, and continue functioning during disruptions – is an essential focus. The European Union’s regulations and directives emphasise the necessity of strategies to ensure DBE resilience. These legislative enactments demand compliance to strict requirements for operational resilience, cybersecurity practices, and incident reporting, reflecting the growing complexity of regulatory expectations. This paper aims to review the literature on resilience-related challenges. This study provides valuable insights into future research directions of DBEs.
