Windows are a crucial part of building envelopes to achieve energy efficiency. Much work has been undertaken in relation to the location, materials & technologies of windows. The study is based on a review of prior work in the field of window technology and glazing, which helped to identify some gaps in scholarship. A comparison is made with traditional and conventional glazing and window technologies. This analysis helped to determine the ideal glazing and window technology to achieve energy efficiency in buildings.
