This chapter examines the adoption of human resources (HR) technology in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries during and after the COVID-19 pandemic, investigating its role in mitigating pandemic-related challenges and shaping the future of work in the region. The study begins by exploring the unique characteristics of the GCC workforce, providing context for understanding the unprecedented situation faced by organizations and employees. Utilizing Job Demands-Resources (JD-R) theory as a framework, the chapter analyzes the implications of COVID-19 on HR operations in GCC countries, highlighting how digital solutions were rapidly deployed to address the emerging challenges. It examines how organizations leveraged HR technologies to overcome pandemic-related obstacles, support staff well-being, and enhance organizational resilience.
