The lingering concerns about supply chain risks and the consciousness by manufacturing firms to produce environmentally friendly products led the study to have examined supply chain risk management and non-financial performance of selected manufacturing companies in Nigeria as well as the intervening effect of green supply chain practices on supply chain risk management and non-financial performance. Causal survey research was adopted for the study to examine the relationship among the variables of the study. Primary data was collected through structured questionnaire. Three firms were purposively selected from each of the healthcare, beverage and flourmill categories listed on the Nigerian Stock Exchange and two hundred and eighteen (218) employees in these firms were selected using the simple random sampling technique from the supply chain and logistics departments. The data was analysed with the Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) executed through the Smart PLS package. The research was guided by the positivist approach. Findings revealed that supply chain risk management was found to be a significant predictor of firm non-financial performance (R2 = 0.775, β = 0.566, p < 0.05). Furthermore, green supply chain practices significantly predict non-financial performance (R2 = 0.732, β = 0.347, p < 0.05) and supply chain risk management (R2 = 0.724, β = 0.851, p < 0.05). The study also revealed that green supply chain practices have statistically significant specific indirect effects on performance (β = 0.481, p < 0.05). The study therefore suggests that manufacturing firms in Nigeria should harmonize their green supply chain practices and supply chain risk management to continuously offer products that are environmentally friendly.

摘要
