This paper presents an enhanced approach to technology selection for the INNOPROS platform, specifically focusing on improving productivity goals. INNOPROS is designed to facilitate social product developmentSocial product development (SPD) in the context of Industry 4.0Industry 4.0, enabling collaboration between stakeholders to bring innovative products to market. Initially, the project identified various challenges that needed to be addressed, leading to functional requirements derivation. These requirements guided the technology strategy decisions made throughout the project. Additional introspection was conducted to ensure adherence to the specifications, and valuable stakeholder feedback was incorporated. While quality is a complex and subjective concept, this study demonstrates a careful alignment process with user requirements that contributes to the overall effectiveness of the technology selection for INNOPROS.
