The Impact of E-Government on the Efficiency and Empowerment of Employees in the Sultanate of Oman
摘要
This study aims to examine the impact of implementing e-management on enhancing employee efficiency and empowerment within Omani institutions, both in the public and private sectors. The study focuses on how electronic systems can be utilized to improve performance, with particular emphasis on empowering employees to make effective decisions and develop their technical skills. The researcher adopted a descriptive-analytical approach that combines both descriptive and in-depth analysis to understand the impact of e-management implementation on the workplace environment. Data were collected through surveys distributed to employees, along with interviews conducted with administrative officials. Secondary sources, such as previous studies and relevant government reports, were also utilized to support and enrich the analysis. The results showed that the implementation of e-management contributed to improving performance efficiency and accelerating administrative processes. It also helped in empowering employees by improving access to information and strengthening their decision-making capabilities. However, the study also revealed challenges related to adapting to these systems, such as resistance to change and a lack of technical skills among some employees. In conclusion, the researcher recommended expanding the implementation of e-management across all Omani institutions, with a focus on continuous training and providing technical support to ensure a positive adaptation to digital transformation. Additionally, employee participation in decision-making should be strengthened to facilitate the adaptation to these digital systems, ultimately leading to improved institutional efficiency and better employee empowerment in the future.
