With increasing population, poor recycling, and low public awareness about sustainable practices of Oman’s waste management system make the region gradually more dependent on landfills. This dependence speeds up degradation and CO2 emissions, which runs counter to Oman’s commitment to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), it specifically aims to support SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities), SDG 12(Responsible Consumption and Production), and SDG 13 (Climate Action) through the development of a full waste management framework using Systems Theory, Stakeholder Theory, Innovation Management Theory and Change Management Theory augmented by artificial intelligence (AI), the Internet of Things (IoT) and blockchain. Systems Theory highlights successful operations by combining AI and IoT to monitor data in real time and dynamically collect waste. Stakeholder Theory places an emphasis on blockchain transparency, and stakeholder trust and responsibility. Innovation management theory drives a sustainable strategy by driving AI, IoT, and blockchain to further accelerate the recycling and optimization of resources. Change Management Theory addresses +  + the human and organizational adaptation required to success-fully transition and integrate technology into Oman’s waste management. The system provides Oman a route towards greater efficiency, transparency and sustainability in line with SDGs and provides an empirical validation model for waste management.
