Critical Success Factors Impacting Oman’s Performance Measurement System (Ejada): A Conceptual Paper

This conceptual paper aims to understand the critical success factors affecting the (Ejada) system for measuring individual performance in the Sultanate of Oman. This system is based on the OKR methodology. The practical paper seeks to answer the question of what are the factors affecting the success or failure of implementing the (Ejada) system for measuring individual performance in a public higher education institution in the northern Sultanate of Oman, by relying on the descriptive and deductive approach, which resulted in a conceptual framework describing the relationship between the independent variable, which is the (Ejada) system for measuring individual performance, the dependent variable, which is the development of the job performance of employees, and the intermediate variable, which is the characteristics of the (Ejada) system for measuring individual performance, which are (flexibility, transparency and credibility, objectivity, sustainability, renewal and innovation, empowerment, focus, integration, comprehensiveness, and governance).
