In Oman and many other countries’ economies, face a gap between the fresh graduates and the industry practical skills needed from the workforce. Furthermore, Oman Vision 2040 emphasizes the importance of bridging this gap to drive economic innovation and growth, while the Sustainable Development Goals are also outline the significance of quality education and industry collaboration. This is a qualitative case study investigation about a single HEI in Oman to address the academic-industry gap, challenges and exploring strategies that align HEI outcomes with industry expectations. The paper identified several insights from the professional individuals’ interviews, strategic documents, available documents analysis and professional observation. Hence, many actionable recommendations developed as outcome of this case study for building more responsive, industry-academic programs and constructive collaboration.
