Green Airport Infrastructure and Operations: A Brief Review
摘要
This paper surveys the concrete perspective of environmental effects caused by airport infrastructure and processes, stating the responsibility of the aviation sector towards environmental pollution in the context of increasing climate change affecting ocean and atmospheric ecosystems through emissions, sound pollution, and various wastes. It analyzes current initiatives such as the adoption of alternative sources of energy, building low-disposable buildings, and modern waste disposal technologies. The work compares tools like VIKOR and PLS-SEM methods for measuring green performance and underlines the areas for further studies related to developing countries. Further studies should strive toward better criteria for the performance of the airports, covering wider areas and using new technologies, AI and ML, for more sustainable approaches to airport operations.
