This is a conceptual paper on the strategic incorporation of artificial intelligence (AI) with business intelligence (BI) in enhancing supply chain management (SCM) in the manufacturing industry in Oman. The aim of this analytical paper is to investigate the combined potential of AI and BI to reinforce SCM with forecast accuracy, real-time data analysis and adaptive decision-making capabilities to meet challenges induced by cost pressures, efficiency and Sustainability imperatives. Based on patterns observed in AI and BI usage by SCM experts, the study discusses the role of AI in predictive analytics and automation enabled by BI for data-driven information with agility and resilience in SCM. The findings highlighted the newfound ability of AI and BI to create a competitive advantage, propel operational efficiency, and support sustainable growth in Omani manufacturing. This paper concludes with implications for stakeholders and policymakers and suggests practical solutions for fostering the digital transformation of this vital sector of the economy. This research adds to the ongoing debate about how advanced technologies can help overcome SCM issues and recommends the stand of AI and BI as the transformation tools adopted for the successful manufacture of the industrial world and Oman.

摘要
