This paper explores the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI), the Internet of Things (IoT), and Blockchain with traditional management systems such as Total Quality Management (TQM) and Lean Construction to help streamline the business and reduce project delays in the engineering and construction industries. It examines an Omani engineering and construction company to analyze how such technological synergies influence the operation of the firm in terms of SDGs 9 and 12 (innovative industry, infrastructure, sustainable consumption, and conservation). Using a qualitative approach, the researchers conducted semi-structured interviews with senior management, project managers, and procurement officers to collect detailed information. Thematically, it identified critical operational bottlenecks, evaluated the role of digital technologies, and recommended ways to improve. In addition, results were cross-checked against institutional records and published literature to ensure validity and reproducibility. These findings suggest that using AI, IoT, and Blockchain makes businesses much more efficient, simplifying the management of resources, equipment, and payments. Additionally, real-time data and predictive modelling allow faster project completions and blockchain-enhanced procurement transparency. However, the lack of a fully integrated real-time data set keeps the company from fully taking advantage of sustainability. In conclusion, this research provides invaluable information for construction firms looking to streamline their business. It stresses the need for digital transformation and management practices to drive improved project outcomes and longevity. These recommendations, therefore, speak directly to firms in developing countries that want to gain greater competitive global advantage and meet sustainability targets.
