Looking at the Future: Evolution and Transformation of Systemic Training in the Digital Age
摘要
Well-known circumstances have launched a lively debate on the use of Information Communication Technologies (ICT) and electronic devices in different professional contexts. This holds true also for training courses in psychotherapy. Although many experiences of distance and online learning in the field already exist, especially with respect to brief courses, the prolonged or occasional use of virtual spaces for long-lasting training in psychotherapy is something new—at least in this proportion—for many contexts within the systemic community. The present chapter aims at showing our experience in the Italian context, considering the limitations but also the opportunities that online training may open up, besides the conditions of necessity that generated its widespread implementation. It is our opinion, in fact, that becoming familiar with online settings of work is an emerging and relevant competence for psychotherapists, and reflecting on the specific characteristics of therapy and training sessions is no longer a matter of making a virtue by necessity, but a new theme to be thought of and taught itself.
