Decarbonizing Industrial Processes
摘要
Decarbonisation of industrial processes is essential to mitigating climate change and potential sustainability targets. This chapter summarises different strategies and technologies that can be used to minimise greenhouse gas emissions from major industrial sectors such as manufacturing, energy and transport. Through case studies and best practices, the chapter gauges the contribution of renewable energy, energy efficiency and sustainable material for decarbonisation. It also discusses other factors affecting the transition to low-carbon production processes, including policy instruments, stakeholder involvement, and technological change development. Ultimately, this chapter seeks to add to the wider picture of decarbonization pathways and their role in the evolution of a more resilient and sustainable future.
