A financial revolution is critical to accelerate the transition to a net zero economy to build a concrete instrument to together address climate finance and investment, and to reshape one of the biggest challenges of our time. This chapter explores the complex challenges and opportunities of financing the transition to net zero. It underlines the importance of mobilizing public and private capital while involving relevant stakeholders and technologies to build sustainable financing models. It also mentions the role of policy frameworks for investment in low-carbon technologies and infrastructure. The Chapter attempts to draw recommendations on financing mechanisms that can mobilise private and public capital flows for climate financing that can not only accelerate the transition to a net zero economy but can also ensure social equity and environmental sustainability through research on climate financing.
