The Paris Agreement, which came into force in 2015 under the UNFCCC is founded on different commitments and provides a framework that countries will work toward to keep global warming well below 2 °C. This chapter postulates what net-zero targets represent at different national commitment stages with corporate aspirations. It also looks into the necessary interventions in all industries around technology and sustainable practices to make a net zero emissions world. This study illuminates the key elements of the Paris Agreement as well as the strategies for effective implementation.
