Government II
摘要
At some time in the twenty-first century the USA will start the transition into an economy with no human work. After the inflection point, job destruction will be greater than job creation and overall employment will decline. Once the decline starts it will continue and human employment over the next several centuries will approach a very small fraction of current employment, perhaps even zero. This book deals with the transition, not the end result. The topics of Chaps. 6 and 7 are reforms to government problems that have arisen or become much worse since 1980. Chapter 6 deals with those government problems that Biden has had some success dealing with and Chap. 7 deals with those problems for which Biden has had little or no success. Since 1980 the federal government has been captured by corporations and the rich who influence government to produce actions disproportionately favorable to their interests. To eliminate this government capture requires election reform and lobbying reform. If this is done then government can deal with economic concentration, false information, and privacy. Each topic has two components. The first is the nature of the problem and the second is the proposed reform.
