Effects of Phosphorus and Cadmium Fractions in Soil on Phosphorus and Cadmium Contents in Bermudagrass in the Water-Level-Fluctuating Zone of the Three Gorges Reservoir Area

Bermuda grass (Cynodon dactylon (L.) pers.) and soil samples were collected in the water-level-fluctuating zone (WLFZ) from Changshou to Fuling in the Three Gorges Reservoir Area (TGR), and the fractions of phosphorus (P) and cadmium (Cd) in the soil and the contents of P and Cd in Bermuda grass were determined. The results show that: The Cd and P content in the soils and the Bermuda grass of the WLFZ from Changshou to Fuling in the TGR increased first and then decreased along the river. The main fractions of Cd in the soil samples were Fe/Mn-Cd and Car-Cd. P fractions at different sites showed a homogeneous trend, which followed the order of HCl-P > Re-P > NaOH-IP > NaOH-OP>NaHCO3-IP > Water-P ≈ NaHCO3-OP. The distribution of Cd content in Bermuda grass was root>stem>leaf, while that in Bermuda grass was stem > leaf > root. The root of Bermuda grass had higher Cd enrichment coefficient and lower migration coefficient The results of Mantal test and Spearman correlation analysis showed that the content of Cd in Bermuda grass was significantly correlated with the content of Fe/Mn-Cd, TCd and NaHCO3-IP; The P content in Bermuda grass was significantly correlated with TCd content, NaHCO3-IP content, Ex-Cd content, Fe/Mn-Cd content, Water-P and NaOH-OP content.
