Xylella fastidiosa's rapid olive tree desiccation disease in Salento, along with its landscape repercussions, epitomizes an ecological crisis and a cultural apocalypse, linking landscapes and local communities to climate change. New reforestation and agro-reforestation projects are being built and tested on the rubble of the olive-growing landscape. These will be compared and contrasted. On the one hand, super-intensive exploitation practices, linked to governmental microbiopolitical prescriptions to combat the epidemic, will be confronted. On the other hand, we will compare two coexisting case studies of experimental practices related to postdisaster reforestation/agro-reforestation: the Sylva Foundation and Manu Manu Riforesta. On a local scale, in the present case of the agro-reforestation movement in Salento, this apocalyptic moment becomes a field of experimental practices in which a more than social movement resists the bio-financialization of the ecological transition, rejecting the carbon credit market.

摘要
