Two key studies are presented: the first assesses the damage from bar-shaped objects, using numerical simulations to understand the impact energy distribution and mechanical failure risk, particularly on rock seabed. The second study examines lump-shaped objects’ impacts on pipelines, exploring how seabed soil how seabed soil mitigates impact forces and how various factors influence the extent of the damage. These insights are crucial for enhancing the design and safety protocols of offshore pipelines to prevent environmental and economic disasters.
