Foods for Tendinopathies
摘要
Tendinopathies are disorders of the tendons that are characterized by pain, swelling, and functional limitations. They are generally secondary to overuse and mechanical overload of the tendon. The role of nutrition in tendinopathies is multifaceted, as many dietary components can impact tendon healing. Certain nutrients such as proteins, amino acids, and vitamins have been thought to support tendon repair and reduce inflammation. This chapter will review the pathophysiology of tendinopathies and the intricacies of how nutrition can be used to augment their health.
