Écrits proposes that the contemporary moments of the encounter are manifested as hybrid cultural artefacts in that they are both representative and participatory in culture and cultural practices through a movement that is imbued with an autonomous and liminal agency. The chapter contemplates the ‘in-between spaces’ and the reinterpretation of established discourse through a “stratigraphic” reading of the main corpus through a multiplicity of perspectives from the contemporary to an archival past.
