Arkhé lays the foundation for the chapters that follow and for the very premise of the arguments themselves. The chapter initiates the investigation of the encounter between the ‘anglophone,’ and the city of Naples. Using a postcolonial vocabulary, the chapter dialogues with the unstable fluxes of the local and the planetary as they orbit contemporary and the archival spaces.
