This chapter examines the fluctuation of surface waterbodies in pre-monsoon and post-monsoon seasons using machine learning algorithms. Moreover, a sharp increase in groundwater depth with time will portray a water deficiency condition. The quality of both groundwater and surface water is assessed for drinking and irrigation purposes. Additionally, the availability and quality of both groundwater and surface water is demonstrated along the palaeochannel and non-palaeochannel areas. Therefore, the potentiality of palaeochannels is assessed in the volumetric availability as well as the quality of water resources.
