Pullout Capacity of Ground Anchors - A Critical Review
摘要
This paper presents a critical review of various types of ground anchors, such as plate, screw and their performance under different conditions, particularly static and seismic conditions. The present study focuses on the pullout resistance of vertical, inclined and horizontal plate anchors, using experimental data and analytical methods. It discusses the role of various factors, mainly anchor geometry, soil conditions, embedment ratio, failure planes, in influencing the pull-out resistance of ground anchors. A significant gap is identified in investigations pertinent to the pseudo-dynamic analysis of anchors, suggesting the need for further exploration. The findings emphasize the importance of improving the design methodologies to ensure stability and safety of anchored structures subjected to seismic forces.
