A Systematic Approach to Safety Education and Training
摘要
Burke offers insights on how recent global changes and events are affecting when, where, and why individuals need to develop capabilities for working safely. These changes include but are not limited to rapid advances in technology, the COVID-19 pandemic, climate change and related events such as wildfires and natural disasters, and the advance of the gig economy. Along with indicating how these global issues are altering formal and less formal means for safety education and training, he presents a systematic model for safety education and training. In doing so, Burke provides a sound rationale for why a learning systems approach to education and training is necessary for optimally developing workers’ safety knowledge and skills.
