This chapter explores hauntological themes by way of describing a community-based project called the Cosmic Curriculum. Drawing on adrienne maree brown’s emergent strategy framework, the project was constructed to investigate how naturally occurring phenomena take shape in our lives. We considered the civic, ecological, and cosmic contributions of our shared ancestors, Benjamin Banneker and Harriet Tubman; the concept of lost futures, regarding Indigenous land dispossession and the US government’s broken promises to former enslaved people of 40 acres and a mule; and stars as contemporary representations of past millennia.

摘要
