“Industry 4.0” has triggered a major change in the field of intelligent manufacturing, MES (Manufacturing Execution System) is the core software system in the field of intelligent manufacturing, and it is an important hand to promote intelligent enterprise management. The popularization and promotion of MES system is a necessary way to promote China to become a “manufacturing power”. This paper takes the construction and implementation of “lightweight” MES for medium-sized discrete manufacturing enterprises as the research background, takes “cost reduction and efficiency” as the goal, and relies on the platform of “school-enterprise joint laboratory” to construct and implement a MES system adapted to the current situation of the enterprise. With the goal of “cost reduction and efficiency”, relying on the platform of “school-enterprise joint laboratory”, we have constructed and implemented a “lightweight” MES solution adapted to the current situation of the enterprise, and achieved good application results.
