As the medical industry moves towards the digital world and patient information, disease diagnoses, and other information are all being saved in the digital format, medical information security has become a major problem. Therefore, it is crucial to secure patient information. The main goal of this research is to provide comprehensive knowledge about the LSB Steganography Technique, which is used to secure medical information such as Text, Image, and Audio as well as discuss the effectiveness of the LSB technique. For the management and protection of intellectual property rights in the healthcare sector, a safe and undetectable watermarking system can be a useful tool. Medical photos, documents, or other types of healthcare data can be watermarked using various approaches, offering a way to trace and identify the owner of copyrighted content. To create an effective scheme, one must address several critical aspects, including the development of a resilient watermarking algorithm capable of enduring various attack methods while preserving the integrity and confidentiality of the embedded copyright data. Additionally, it is crucial to ensure that the watermark remains imperceptible to human observers and does not compromise the quality or usability of healthcare data, which includes the successful embedding and extraction of multimedia data within patient medical images. Achieving this balance necessitates careful consideration of the watermark’s strength and visibility. The results validate the practical suitability of the watermarking technology for protecting copyrights, confirming the favorable impacts coming from the applied improvement. Metrics including Peak Signal-to-Noise Ratio (PSNR) and structural similarity index (SSIM) are computed and assessed using the testing data to judge the effectiveness of the watermarking techniques.
