The Road Ahead
摘要
International politics is an ever-changing arena. The contributions of the Indian American networking/strategic elites to the success of the nuclear deal cannot be denied. But a key question was: what after that? Were their foreign policy-related advocacy efforts a one-time development? Or was the nuclear deal only a stepping-stone for greater achievements? How do the networking/strategic elites view their role in India–US relations in the future? Will the succeeding generations of Indian Americans connect with India the way their first-generation immigrant parents did? How have contemporary developments impacted their exercise of soft power? The concluding chapter explores and addresses these issues.
