Creative teaching involves imaginative approaches to education that make learning more interesting, exciting, and effective. Creative teachers share a number of characteristics. Although they are content experts, they are also highly motivated, have high expectations, and have strong communication skills. Creative teachers also use techniques to stimulate curiosity, encourage reflection, and raise confidence. This chapter highlights strategies to help stimulate the academic physician’s creative teaching process.
