Characteristics of Gifted Students: Age and Gender. Findings from Three Decades of Cohorts
摘要
The statistical data of three decades of cohorts 1982, 1993, and 2003 was gathered to find the main age and gender characteristics of the children in the Erika Landau Institute. Each cohort was of more than 350 students, chosen randomly from the 35-year database of the Institute. The database was composed of information on the children who were accepted and those who were not. The chapter presents the comparisons between the genders in all cohorts. While the age of the children accepted decreased during this time, the male/female rate did not substantially change.
