Dr. Erika Landau was not just “the mother of the gifted” in Israel but also one of my professional mothers. Her death is a loss to nurturing the gifted in Israel, and a more personal loss to 40,000+ people—graduates of the “Erika Landau Institute for the Promotion of Creativity and Excellence” and for me—a loss of the person whose legacy I have adopted both as a profession and as a way of life.
